Happy Pumpkin Carving

Its so nice to have something happy and positive on this blog for a change... what with all of the tornadoes and wild fires! We went over to the Mandels house on Sunday night and did pumpking carving (even though it doesn't feel close to Halloween seeing that the temperature registered in at 95 degrees yesterday.....) Anyway here are some of the pics.

Things are getting back to normal

So, the fires in southern California are no longer a threat to the Santa Clarita Valley. We still have to be careful about being outside because of the air quality, but besides that our family (which of course now includes Bradys family) are all back to their homes and jobs. The schools were back in session today, but I made a decision to not sub today, because I do not want to deal with the kids on their first day back after this disaster. Anyway, thanks to all of those who showed concern. Now were back to our everyday lives, thankfully!!!!

West Ranch on the news...

I stole this picture from Mitzi's blog, but this is a picture of the news and of the fire in Stevenson Ranch from yesterday... as you can see, the fire was right next to West Ranch, right at the tip their is all of the practice fields..... can you see the baseball field? Crazy, huh! I figured I would steal this pic from Mitzi's blog for those of you that don't read hers.

Finally settling down

The above two pictures are of the Castaic fire still burning in the distance (for those of you that don't know, Castaic is where Mitzi lives... don't worry this fire isn't by her anymore), this fire is still burning, but it is not a threat to homes anymore.

This picture is taken of the sky.... still smoky, this fire is called the Magic fire because it started over by the theme park Magic Mountain, in Stevensons Ranch... this is the fire that I took pictures of yesterday, where it was almost touching West Ranch.

This fire is right next to West Ranch where Brady works.... It looked as if West Ranch was going to burn down... but as of right now... West Ranch is safe.

We flew into Michigan on Saturday morning. Went and died my hair brunette, then went to Champps to watch the Michigan game and hang out with the Williams, then to the bookstore to spend way to much money on MSU apparal, then off to tailgating, the game, and the bars afterwards. We then flew out on Sunday. It was a quick trip but well worth it!!!! Yeah!!!! Go State.

Confused

I am very confused about those three running plays and then the field goal kick? We had that game in our hands to win..... or lose... What upsets me the most is ESPN or anyother sports show is not going to notice how well MSU hung in there with number 9 Wisconsin, there are going to mention the Warrick hit, they are going to mention the two players that got ejected, and they are going to mention those penalties we had in the final minutes of the game, when the commentators noted, well here is that old Michigan State football team creeping in. It was such a good game.... but I am just emotionally drained from the loss... very deflated. Now is the time that we will see if we are a new football team. If we can bounce back against Northwestern and Indiana in the next two weekends and overcome this loss, I think we we are a new football team... if we don't.... its going to be another long second half of the season.

update

yup... whoever "they" is managed to take 2200 dollars from our account today

Panicked....

So I went to the bank today to notice that all our money had gotten deposited into one account..... just to find out later through Brady once we followed through with it with the bank.... that someone had added a payee to our account which was to take out $2200 tomorrow.... thank goodness we caught it.... but it scares me that someone got into our account and messed with our money.... If I hadn't gone to the bank today, We would have ABSOLUTELY NO money tomorrow.... :(

Dodger Game 9/14

USC game

This was the first weekend of college football... (September 1) Although I was unable to make it to a Spartan game, Brady and I did find ourselves at a Trojan game! Thanks to Casey and Kris, they had two extra tickets to the USC/Idaho game and we were able to go and enjoy ourselves!

Getting ready at Anna's

Well after we got our hair done most of us went over to Anna's to get ready. Mitzi, Megan, and Kris went over to the hotel to have Lise do their make up and get ready. We had good times while getting ready.... Me trying to sip champagne through a straw or the way I was eating my Jimmy Johns to avoid ruining my lip stick.... the whole process of putting my dress on..... then trying to put my shoes on.... and then fifteen minutes before pictures realizing Chayla has TWO RIGHT SHOES!!!!!Anna helping Chayla with her hair!
