Placerita Cyn Hiking

We went hiking at Placerita Canyon today.... It was kind of depressing to see all of the trees burnt.... but at the same time it was cool to see all of the regrowth and greenery coming back!!!!

Griffith Observatory and Santa Monica

Mom and me at the beach.
Our walk to the Pier.

View from the Observatory

Griffith Park Observatory

Aunt Joyce, myself, and mom

The famous Hollywood sign!

Today Brady and I went to Griffith Observatory, the Grove, Santa Monica, and into UCLA to get Diddy Riece cookies with my mom and my aunt. It was a very long day, but nice for a change for pace... It was gorgeous day.... About 80 degrees with not a cloud in the sky... Santa Monica beach was PACKED... we were going to go to Venice beach but there was no where to park.

La Brea Tar Pits

Look closely, one of the people that specializes in fossils is Dr. J. A. Holman... who's alma mater is MSU!!!

Took a picture with Brady next to it to give you a good idea of the size of these things!

The La Brea Tar Pits is one of the world's most famous fossil localities, recognized for having the larges and most diverse assemblage of extinct Ice Age plants and animals in the world. They have fossils from between 10,000 and 40,000 years ago here, during the last Ice Age. The reason there are so many fossils is because animals would go into the tar pits thinking it was water, but underneath the thin layer of water was tar, and the animals would then get stuck... Overall a very cool museum... FYI teachers get in free if they bring some sort of proof that they are a teacher.

Weekend in Chicago

The final score of the MSU at Northwestern bball game.... I have accomplished goal number 31. Brady and Brian (One of Wes's REALLY good friends from Indiana).

Me and Jessica (Brian's wife). We had only met Brian and Jessica once.... that was for Wes's wedding, but I had kept in contact with Jessica on a monthly basis. So when I told them that we were coming into the Chicago area and that we should go out with them after the game... they invited us to just stay at their place!!!! Number 11!!!

At the Northwestern game... playing around with our camera... playing with the zoom.... considering we were in row QQ on the second tier, the zoom worked pretty well!!!!

Their were probably more Spartan fans in the Welsh-Ryan arena then their were Northwestern fans!!! It was VERY cool.

Lets.... Go..... State......

Durrell Summers... one of my favorite MSU players... we can thank him for the win against Texas a few weeks ago!
Me and Brady in Welsh-Ryan Arena... The Arena was MUCH smaller than the Breslin Center... I compared it to a big high school arena!

CHICAGO!!!!

Ice Skating.... We were in a time crunch, so we didn't get a chance too... Plus I don't think Brady would have gone with me even if I pleaded

Cool looking reflection thingy in Millenium Park, just above where the ice skating rink was.

More Chicago sky rises

As for the goals.......
Number 31 and Part 1 of Number 11 AND as you can see constantly working on Number
26

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

The entire gang ringing in the New Year!

Greg, Mom, Christina, and Megan at Champps

Happy New Year!

An intense game of spoons getting ready to begin

Me, Brady, Dad, Michael, and Katherine at Champps

Well we did our annual celebrating with our best family friends, the Williams. This time Christina made it out... and an addition to celebrating was Michael's girlfriend Katherine. We have been doing this for every year that I can remember, only missing one because we had a gymnastics meet down in Florida.... We ate at Champps, then headed back to the Williams to play Spoons.... (It was very violent... Dawn broke one of my nails, and we broke probably about six or seven plastic spoons!!!!) Then played some Catch Phrase where the women went ahead and beat the men 4-0, and rang in the new year with Dick Clark and Ryan SeaCrest!!!!
